We’ve been eating Full GAPS for nearly 9 months, but beginning tomorrow, we start the next fundamental step in healing: The GAPS Intro Diet. This is a six-stage process of introducing new foods, beginning from the basics: bone broth, grass-fed meats, cooked organic veggies, healthful fats, and home-fermented veggie juice.
Why is this information you need to know? It’s really not about me or my family, though I welcome your support and prayers. This is really for you and your loved ones. The nutritionist I see believes that 9 out of 10 people would benefit from eating a GAPS diet! While I can’t give any medical advice, I would posit that in the next few years, you are going to hear more and more about Leaky Gut Syndrome (a.k.a. Intestinal Hyperpermeability) and the many health problems associated with it:
- Allergies
- Adrenal Fatigue
- Arthritis (some types)
- Asthma
- Autism
- Autoimmune diseases
- Digestive issues
- Food sensitivies
- Skin Issues (Ezcema, Psoriasis)
Do you have any of these symptoms? If you don’t, I’m willing to bet you can think of someone who does. It’s time to start taking seriously what foods (or “non-foods” as the case may be) and chemicals we put into our bodies, and the long-term effects they are having on the next generation—whether or not you are a GAPS patient.
Join me and my family on our GAPS Intro journey. I plan to write at least once for each of the six stages, and possibly more often, depending on how we feel and heal. We’re going to give details and get down and dirty. (You know you want to find out if I’ll need my Epi-Pen when I introduce eggs, right?!) Learn more, for yourself and your loved ones! I guarantee that you won't regret it.
